Is schizophrenia hindering your ability to hold a job?
You may be eligible for Disability for Schizophrenia.
Schizophrenia is chronic brain disorder that affects about 1 percent of the population. When active, schizophrenia can cause delusions, hallucinations, concentration problems and lack of motivation. Schizophrenics have episodes in which they are unable to distinguish between what is real and what is not.
While there is no cure for schizophrenia, symptoms can often be treated with anti-psychotic drugs. Unfortunately, some schizophrenics don’t respond well to treatment, which can cause serious side-effects.
Because schizophrenia interferes with a person’s ability to think clearly, manage emotions and make decisions, many people with schizophrenia often have difficulty functioning on a daily basis and holding down a job. In fact, the stress of being in a workplace can exacerbate their disorder.
